I/O systems are designed with Simulink

The UEISIM offers Simulink users a new, powerful and flexible I/O target.

Adept Scientific has added UEISIM from United Electronic Industries to its range of PC/Ethernet data acquisition and control systems products The UEISIM offers Simulink users a new, powerful and flexible I/O target

Models built in Simulink are deployed directly on the UEISIM using The Mathworks' Real-Time Workshop.

Once programmed, the UEISIM can operate as a stand-alone module or may be continuously monitored by a host computer over the Cube's Ethernet port.

This offers the Simulink user a powerful new tool for the creation and tuning of a wide variety of applications, including simulation model verification, rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

The UEISIM 300 allows the installation of up to three I/O boards.

The UEISIM 600 is slightly larger at 102 x 104 x 147mm and allows the installation of up to six I/O boards (containing up to 150 analogue inputs or 288 digital I/Os).

The I/O boards installed are determined by the user's application.

There are currently over 30 different I/O boards available including analogue input, analogue output, digital I/O, counter/timer, quadrature encoder, serial I/O, CANbus and ARINC-429 interfaces.

According to Adept General Manager, Mike Pisapia: "The UEISIM is an ideal solution for Simulink users who need to test their simulations on real hardware and is an excellent choice for production systems once an application has been completed".

"There are also huge benefits to be gained using UEISIM as part of R and D applications".

The UEI product range is supplied and supported by Adept Scientific in the UK and Ireland. Request a free brochure from Adept Scientific ...
