Adept Scientific is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with PTC to offer Pro/Engineer to academic customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Adept Scientific has signed an agreement with PTC to offer Pro/Engineer to academic customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
An integrated, parametric, 3D CAD/CAM/CAE solution, Pro/Engineer provides a powerful, easy to use, affordable solution for teaching a wide variety of courses.
UK Universities including Brunel, Cambridge, Loughborough and Manchester have already standardised on Pro/Engineer for teaching engineering and product design courses and for certain courses it's even a requirement that school or college-leaving applicants have prior experience with the software.
With teaching of the government-introduced Engineering Diploma for 14-19 year olds due to start in September this year, Pro/Engineer suits establishments who want to provide their students with a solid foundation for their continuing studies and the skills to become engineers.
Dr Paul Bragg, Managing Director of Adept said: "The Pro/Engineer University and Student editions have been created with specific user groups in mind and have been priced very competitively to address the financial needs of the academic sector".
"Pro/Engineer is a fantastic addition to our range and we look forward to working closely with PTC to extend its reach into further and higher education".
Pro/Engineer Student Edition, Pro/Engineer Student Bundle and Pro/Engineer University Editions are available now from Adept Scientific in the UK and Ireland.
