Maths software links with online resources
MathType 6 for Macintosh now works with Wikipedia, the popular online encyclopedia that contains thousands of pages with mathematical equations.
Available now from Adept Scientific, the latest release of Design Science's MathType 6 for Macintosh is a major upgrade that adds support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and Intel Macs and Microsoft Office 2008.
New features include TeX/LaTeX input, the ability to copy equations to and from Wikipedia and more.
MathType is the full-featured, professional version of the Equation Editor in Microsoft Office and many other products and is used by math and science educators, engineers, research scientists, students and publishing professionals to include mathematical notation in printed documents, presentations and web pages.
MathType 6 for Macintosh enables the user to copy equations from existing TeX documents and scientists who already know the TeX typesetting language can now type expressions directly into MathType.

Users can do research on Wikipedia and copy relevant equations for use in their own work.
MathType equations can also be copied into Wikipedia's page editor to create new pages or edit existing ones.
With MathType 6 for Macintosh you can copy or drag equations from any web page that contains accessible math directly into MathType.
MathType 6 for Macintosh is a Universal application that runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macintosh computers and has all the features of MathType 6 for Windows.
MathType 6 for Macintosh is supplied and supported in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and the Nordic countries by Adept Scientific.
