Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 8, 2008

Adept Scientific has announced the release of Alion Science's Micro Saint Sharp Version 3.0 simulation software in Autumn 2008.

This version has new features that offer the user more modelling capabilities.

Enhancements include: Micro Saint Sharp will no longer utilise hardware keys - version 3.0 will utilise a new software/serial number based keying system; floating licences will also be available; enhanced support for setting key simulation input variables; the ability to mark variables as being key 'input' variables has been added; when the user runs the simulation Micro Saint Sharp will automatically generate a new form that shows all the input variables; users will be able to view/edit any of the variables from the input screen then execute the scenario; ability to export a runtime version of any model that can be easily distributed; ability to trigger one or more snapshots to open automatically at the completion of a run; addition of a new constraint task type to automatically generate capacity-limited tasks; a new distributed simulation capability (entitled SharpTalk360) that will allow Micro Saint Sharp to communicate with other simulations is also being released.
