AST expands HQ and manufacturing facilities

American Sensor Technologies expands corporate headquarters and pressure sensor manufacturing facility within the New Jersey Foreign Trade Zone in the USA.
American Sensor Technologies, a manufacturer of MEMS-based pressure sensors, differentials, switches and digital gauges, has expanded its corporate headquarters and pressure sensor manufacturing facility within the New Jersey Foreign Trade Zone in the USA.
The International Trade Center is a 650,000m2 Rockefeller Group development in Mount Olive, New Jersey.
With over 1400m2 dedicated to the manufacture of its pressure sensor products, AST plans to increase manufacturing capacity to meet growing market demand.
"With triple the manufacturing space used in our former facility, our new high tech manufacturing headquarters will give us the increased capacity needed to support our manufacturing growth," said Michael Eldredge, AST Executive Vice President, COO/CFO.
There are 40 full-time and three part-time employees in the new location, which is 8km west of the previous facility.
AST is also investing in equipment and technology such as test chambers and pressure calibrators to make its manufacturing lines more up to date in unit output and quality.
The new facility will include more room for research and development.
"The new headquarters offers larger facilities to pursue technology development," said Eldredge.
"In addition, we plan to grow our technical application capabilities and engineering support by adding new personnel in production, sales and customer service".
