American Sensor offers submersible pressure sensor

An American Sensor Technologies product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 20, 2008

American Sensor Technologies offers a media isolated, submersible pressure sensor with a flush diaphragm steel cage design - the AST4520.

Featuring all stainless steel construction and approved to UL/cUL913 Class 1, Division 1 IS, Groups C and D with an approved barrier, the AST4520 is a cost-effective solution for level monitoring of turbulent tanks with viscous media.

The flush diaphragm steel cage design allows for proper flow of media while keeping the sensor at the bottom of the tank or well.

With an engraved 316L housing and Kynar PVDF cable, this sensor is built to last in the toughest environments.

The AST4520 is extremely versatile and suitable in a variety of submersible and level measurement applications.

These applications include: wastewater, storm water, industrial lift stations, and holding tanks.

Units operate at wide temperature ranges of -40 to 85C and offer pressure ranges from 0-5 to 0-15PSIG.

All AST4520 units come standard with +/-0.25 per cent BFSL accuracy, EMI/RFI protection of 100V/m and a 4-20mA output.
