Directed perception pan-tilt unit for high-speed, accurate positioning of camera, laser, antenna or other payloads up to 2.7kg or more at speeds up to 300degree/s.

The PTU-D46-17 is for high-speed, accurate positioning of camera, laser, antenna or other payloads up to 2.7kg or more at speeds up to 300degree/s.

The speed, accuracy and dynamic control of pan-tilt units support high-speed detection and tracking applications.

Pan-tilts have been integrated with several automated tracking software modules in various applications.

The on-the-fly control of all motion dynamics makes directed perception pan-tilt units suitable as the core of an actively stabilised positioning platform.

Inertial sensors, gyros, compasses and GPS modules can be integrated with the pan-tilt units to provide stabilisation for a range of applications.

Directed perception pan-tilts are specified with a maximum payload capacity.

This specification is meant as a general guide and is accurate for most applications.

The actual maximum payload capacity of a pan-tilt unit will depend on several factors including the geometric mounting of the payload (more specifically, where its centre of gravity is in relation to axes of rotation) and motion dynamics.

High speeds and accelerations add to torque requirements.

Motion of the pan-tilt unit itself (for example in vehicle mounted applications) also adds dynamic torque to the overall torque requirement.

All directed perception pan-tilts available through Adept Electronic Solutions are completely configurable in terms of acceleration, speed and other motion parameters.

This provides flexibility to tune up optimal performance for a wide range of payloads.
