Infrared camera outputs 14-bit data

An Adept Electronic Solutions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 16, 2009

The Xeva-FPA-1.7 is an industrial infrared camera manufactured by Xenics, which is available in 320 x 256 pixel or 640 x 512 pixel resolution and is sensitive up to 1.7 micron wavelength of light.

The Xeva-FPA-1.7 digital camera combines a thermo-electrically cooled InGaAs detector head and the control and communication electronics in a single compact housing.

It is available in versions that vary in resolution, speed and type of output, enabling systems designers to choose the most suitable configuration for their application.

The Xeva-FPA-1.7 requires one single 12V - 5A power supply, is available with either USB 2.0 or Cameralink, and outputs 14-bit data.

The high-speed version comes with its own custom frame grabber card but can also be interfaced to all standard compatible Cameralink frame grabber cards.

It is supplied with a graphical user software interface (X-Control) and SDK for direct access to camera settings.

X-Control includes two-point uniformity correction and bad pixel replacement tools.

All Xenics infrared detectors are characterised by high sensitivity, stability and uniformity.

They offer flexibility in terms of frame rate, user interface and temperature range.
