Adlink has developed a plug and play LabView driver for its flagship NuDAQ data acquisition cards.

Adlink has developed a plug and play LabView driver for its flagship NuDAQ data acquisition cards.

The PCIS-LView PnP is fully compatible with National Instruments' easy-to-use LabView hardware programming interface.

Users running LabView programs with NI hardware can simply drag and drop PCIS-LView PnP driver components and immediately benefit from the superior price/performance of Adlink's flagship NuDAQ series.

PCIS-LView PnP builds on the concept of virtual instruments (VIs) to provide four new LabView tool panels: analogue input, analogue output, digital I/O and counter.

All the easy and intermediate I/O VI connections are fully compatible with LabView DAQ's VIs.

Users can easily and quickly perform hardware operations such as: pulse and continuous analogue sampling, analogue output, continuous digital sampling, digital I/O and counting/timing.

When using the Adlink NuDAQ series of data acquisition cards, users fully abide by LabView coding standards through the capabilities of easy and intermediate I/O VIs.

To enable use of the NuDAQ cards, users simply replace the original VI with its PCIS-LView PnP equivalent.

The concept of "plug Adlink, play LabView" will provide research students with economical and practical hardware and software tools to strengthen research and curriculum development for educational organisations.

James Gau, Director of the Test and Measurement Department, emphasises that Adlink continues to focus on the worldwide educational institution market as well as expanding enterprise applications.

PCIS-LView PnP fully uses LabView's powerful VI graphical programming system with Adlink's optimum price/performance data acquisition cards.
