The PXI Starter is a special product bundle for those considering the switch to a PXI platform for their data acquisition or automated measurement systems.

The Adlink PXI Starter kit includes a PXIS-2630 3U eight-slot chassis and a PCI-PXI extension kit.

Customers can easily integrate a PXI chassis with their existing IPC or desktop computer using the PCI-PXI extension kit.

This special package is on offer for only US $1950, and will only be available until 30th November 2004 (some restrictions may apply).

The PXIS-2630 is a 19in 3U PXI chassis providing seven PXI peripheral slots and is equipped with an industrial grade 400W ATX power supply to provide reliable and cost effective power to the system.

Power supply, temperature and cooling fans status are monitored by an alarm module integral to the chassis.

When a failure is detected, a warning LED and audible alarm are actuated.

The PCI-PXI Extension Kit functions as a transparent PCI-PCI bridge register set and provides direct control of the PXIS-2630 chassis from an IPC or desktop computer.

One master extension card can be linked to up to two slave extension modules, allowing a single IPC or desktop computer to simultaneously control two PXI chassis.

The two links can also be bundled to support the full bandwidth of a 64bit/66MHz PCIbus (528Mbyte/s peak).

The PCI-PXI Extension kit includes a two-card set (one PCI-8570 and one PXI-8570) and one 2m shielded copper cable (also available in various lengths up to 10m).
