Automated Solutions has developed A-B Ethernet and Data Highway Plus drivers for its Modular OPC data access server Priced at $399 per driver, Automated Solutions reckons it has set the new price/performance mark for Allen-Bradley connectivity

A-B Ethernet support includes the ControlLogix family via 1756-ENET module (native tag name support); PLC5 'E' series or enhanced with 1785-ENET module; SLC5/05; MicroLogix, PLC5, SLC5/03, 5/04, 5/05 via Channel 0 via 1761-NET-ENI.

A-B Data Highway Plus support includes ControlLogix with native tag name support, PLC5, and SLC5/04.

Adapter support includes 1784-KT, KTx, KTxD, PKTx and PKTxD.

The Modular server supports multiple simultaneous communications protocols from within a single application.

The Modular approach allows the user to license one or more drivers to deliver the exact functionality required for your application.

No need to pay for unused bundled drivers.

Licensing can be fully accomplished online via the Internet or by telephone.

These drivers are self contained; no third party driver purchase is required.

This server has passed the OPC Data Access 2.04 compliance test.

Fully functioning 30 day demos can be freely downloaded from the Automated Solutions website.

Future updates include A Serial DF1 driver, which is currently under development; a DH485 driver with direct support for 1747-PIC and AIC+ modules; ControlLogix gateway support is slated for addition to the next release of the A-B Ethernet driver; Modbus RTU, ASCII, TCP, and Plus will be added soon after the A-B driver lineup is rolled out.
