AS upgrades the Ascomm.Net software component

Automated Solutions has added a GE SRTP Ethernet driver to its Ascomm.Net software component for industrial communications.
Ascomm.Net now implements driver support for: GE SRTP Ethernet; Modbus/TCP Master; A-B Logix family of processors via Ethernet; and A-B PLC5, SLC500 and Micrologix via Ethernet HMI / Scada.
Developers, system integrators, IT developers and machine builders now have a runtime-free option for creating HMI, control and supervisory control applications in Visual Studio.Net.
Ascomm.Net provides the communications link between .Net applications and industrial controllers, PLCs and instrumentation.
Ascomm.Net can be used in Windows, console, service and web applications.
All drivers are self-contained.
No third party driver purchase is required.
Additional planned drivers include Automation Direct ECOM Ethernet, Modbus/TCP Slave, Modbus RTU/ASCII Master, Profinet and A-B Serial DF1.
