Ashtead Technology Rentals has opened a new UK office to serve the European market.

Ashtead Technology Rentals has opened a new UK office to serve the European market.

Following a strategic restructure of the company's onshore business activities, the new facility in Hitchin, Hertfordshire will concentrate on the provision of instrumentation to the environmental, nondestructive testing and remote visual inspection markets.

Rob Phillips, Group Managing Director of Ashtead Technology Rentals comments: "We have succeeded in becoming the number one choice for rentals in the offshore market and are now poised to build our onshore and environmental business.

The new office in Hertfordshire provides the perfect platform for leveraging this potential nationwide".

"Our primary aim is to serve the general environmental and health and safety markets where specialist equipment needs or reduction in capital expenditure has meant an increased reliance on rental equipment", said James Carlyle, who will be managing the new business.

"Being a part of the larger Ashtead Group, we have the resource and infrastructure to increase our rental fleet, even to the point of buying instruments specifically for a certain customer's need".
