High speed mixers handle abrasive materials safely
The range of high speed sealed bearing mixers from Advanced Engineering (Middleton) are designed specifically for use with highly abrasive materials with long trouble-free operation.
The range of high speed sealed bearing mixers from Advanced Engineering (Middleton) Ltd are precision built products, designed specifically for use with highly abrasive materials with long trouble-free operation.
They have also been designed for safety, with no exposed drive shafts or downthrust impellers.
All fast rotating parts are enclosed or shrouded to prevent accidental contact, with the mixing of even dry ingredient additives achieved through the positive downthrust performance achieved with the efficient mixer head.
These mixers are particularly suitable for applications in chemical processing, paint manufacture, food preparation as well as a wide range of general engineering applications involving blending, dispersing, emulsifying, suspending, solubilising, disintegrating, comminuting, reaction accelerating, agglomerate reduction, homogenising milling or gelling, together with combined pumping and mixing.
A total of seven models are available, ranging from 3 to 18.5kWs.
These offer a choice of two speeds (1450 or 2900rpm), providing mixing capacities from 500 to 2500 litres/hr based upon water volumes with general purpose mixer heads fitted.
Larger or special purpose mixers including flameproofed varieties can also be manufactured to suit customer requirements.
The superior performance of these mixers is based upon the highly versatile range of interchangeable mixer heads that can be fitted to achieve the results required.
Mixing capacities vary according to the process material, viscosity, shape of mixing vessel etc, and will progressively reduce as the viscosity increases.
All parts that come into contact with the process product are grade 316 stainless steel, compatible with food and pharmaceutical requirements, while also offering a high degree of chemical resistance to otherwise aggressive mediums.
The main shaft is fully enclosed and fitted with a sealed bearing, ideal for limited access applications.
The mixers are virtually self-cleaning and can be used in most vessel shapes.
Vertical cylindrical containers without internal baffles are, however, the most appropriate.
