With reports that the Irish industrial production index is up by 13.7% over the last 12 months, it is no wonder that Applied Weighing had a successful few days at exhibitions in Cork.

With reports that the Irish industrial production index is up by 13.7% over the last 12 months, it is no wonder that Applied Weighing had a successful few days at exhibitions in Cork - a major European centre of the pharmaceutical industry.

Here Applied Weighing launched its Clevermount Range of weighing assemblies for vessel and tank weighing.

The company also demonstrated a number of new products including its market leading range of IQ range of weight controllers.

The Clevermount range is ideal for the pharmaceutical industry's clean room and hazardous area applications.

It is designed specifically with ease of installation in mind.

A vessel can be supported during commissioning with or without the load cell located within the assembly.

It can also be inserted or removed without the need to jack the vessel.

In addition, the assembly ensures that the vessels are securely mounted in position without the need for additional supports - it even has integral uplift protection.

An engineering consultant from a large pharmaceutical company commented: "We think that this range will be perfect for our plant - its clever design minimises bug traps and it is probably the easiest assembly we've ever seen to install".

The assembly and its load cell are manufactured from stainless steel to IP68 rating for maximum ingress protection.

The load cell comes with a five-year guarantee and for hazardous areas it can be ATEX approved.

Sales Director, Rod Morgan said: "This was a very good exhibition for us generating lots of interest in our products especially in our Clevermount range".

"Initial reactions from customers who have used it have been very positive, and we are looking forward to seeing it being used by many more companies".
