Load cells help in search for world-class rowers
Applied Weighing is set to make a huge impact on the future of the sport of rowing after developing a pioneering rowing machine that measures strength in three key areas of an athlete's body.
Introduced in response to demand for a weighing assembly that was both rugged and easy to install, the assembly can be fixed in place before the load cell is fitted and the Clevermount's unique self correcting and levelling load plate prevents angular and vertical misalignment.
Featuring all stainless steel construction and anti-lift protection, it is ideal for weighing vessels, hoppers or tanks within the chemical, food or pharmaceutical industries, where hygiene is critical and the operating environment harsh.
With capacities from 250 to 2500kg, the Clevermount is designed to operate with the Shear Beam Ultra range of fully welded stainless steel load cells.
The clever design means that load cells can be removed without having to jack the vessel.
Once the assembly is installed, the tank, hopper or vessel is securely mounted in position via two stainless steel plates, with or without the load cell located.
Load is transferred to the load cell through a hardened spherical bearing that is able to accommodate angular and vertical misalignment whilst minimising side forces.
The Clevermount II, using appropriate load cells, can be ATEX BASEEFA certified for hazardous area use and is supplied with a five-year guarantee as standard.
Applied Weighing can also provide a comprehensive supply, install and commission package and after-sales service and support.
