Titan 95 load cells have been used in an innovative pre-weigh hopper system that has enabled a leading manufacturer of tile adhesives to improve its manufacturing output to meet increasing demand.

Used for the batch weighing of raw materials, the load cells were supplied to Stoke-on-Trent-based Building Adhesives, manufacturer of the BAL and Dunlop brands of tile adhesives.

The load cells were supplied by Applied Weighing, the UK's leading manufacturer of load cells and supplier of industrial weighing systems, which has previously provided other weighing systems to the business.

Commenting on the excellent relationship between the two companies, David Smith, Senior Project Engineer at Building Adhesives said: "We have worked with Applied Weighing for a number of years and they have never let us down".

"The quality is excellent, the load cells are easy to install and the cost is always competitive".

"The Titan 95 exactly matched the specification and Applied Weighing could meet our delivery dates".

Designed for smaller silo, vessel and tank weighing applications, the Titan 95 range of loading assemblies incorporates a fully welded stainless steel (or tool steel) load cell with a capacity from 2000 to 10,000kg.

Ideal for applications requiring high accuracy and where movement or vibration is likely to be present, the loading assembly will accept considerable movement or misalignment and incorporates lift-off prevention without applying reverse load to the cell.
