Cleanmount II weighing assemblies as part of the weighing systems as they are extremely reliable, they are easy to clean and also have simplified installation.

High-performance, process weighing systems that are designed for tough industrial weighing applications have enabled a reputable producer of distinctive, high-quality ales to successfully transform its production area into a more user-friendly and controlled environment.

The systems, which comprise the Cleanmount II weighing assemblies and IQ plus 355 weight indicators, were supplied to Bristol based Bath Ales Limited by Applied Weighing, the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of process weighing equipment and load cells, and are now a vital element in the company's brewery.

Bath Ales, whose new brewery is situated between Bristol and Bath, runs an independent micro-brewery that has been established since 1995.

Unlike many other new enterprises, it was able to draw upon a long and varied heritage of craft brewing experience.

The company's continued investment has meant that it now brews on a highly efficient steam-driven brew plant.

The beers are dry hopped in the cask and carefully conditioned to produce consistency in both flavour and clarity.

The company decided to install the hygienic Cleanmount II weighing assemblies as part of the weighing systems as they are extremely reliable, they are easy to clean and also have simplified installation.

The Cleanmount II range is designed for weighing vessels, hoppers and silos in extremely harsh environments.

Manufactured from bead blasted stainless steel they are ideal for chemical, food, pharmaceutical or other applications where conditions can be severe.

The assembly ensures precise, reliable and safe operation and the assembly ensures that the vessels are securely mounted in position via two stainless steel plates.

In addition to the weighing assembles, Bath Ales also opted for Applied Weighing IQ plus 355 weight indicators to work in conjunction with the Cleanmount IIs.

The 355 weight indicators used for this application are high-performance, high-durability weight indicators that are encased in a tough, all stainless steel IP66/NEMA 4X enclosure for extra-long life, even in the harshest conditions.

The 355's are built to outlast and outperform any other indicators in their class.

Having successfully operated the systems at the factory for a number of months, Craig Lewis, Production Director at Bath Ales, had no hesitation when asked to comment on how the installation was working for them, he said: "Doing business with Applied Weighing has worked out extremely well for us".

"The systems have helped us more than we could have hoped and their on-going service and support has made the whole process run smoothly".

"The Cleanmount IIs are more reliable and cost wise they were the best option for us".

"We are particularly pleased that we now have total control of the system which helps limit the amount of wastage and allows us to monitor any losses".

"We will certainly invite Applied Weighing to tender for any further weighing systems we may need in the future".

Applied Weighing also provides a comprehensive supply, install and commissioning package and after-sales service and support.
