Now in stock at Aerco, the Horsham based electromechanical component distributor, is the Amphenol range of C146M modular, rectangular connectors These versatile, heavy-duty connectors were designed specifically for the railroad industry, machine tools and similar industrial and control applications

A prime feature of these connectors is that at the assembly stage, different contact configuration modules can be fitted into various sized frames and housings to form a connector arrangement to meet virtually any requirement.

Connector modules are available in 3-way to 20-way format and the frame assemblies accommodate two, three, five or seven modules.

This means that the C146M range can be configured for any connector from 3-way to 140-way thus offering a high level of design flexibility.

Operating current is 50A in the 3-way configuration and 5A in the 20-way while working voltage is 63V in 20-way format up to 1000V in 3-way.

All housings and covers are built in die-cast aluminium and mating items are secured by a heavy-duty latching system to ensure secure connection in any environment.

Plug or socket modules can be mixed in one frame and the crimp-terminated contacts are available as turned contacts or punched and formed.

The Amphenol range from Aerco is inter-mateable with similar series from other manufacturers.
