Aerco is now stocking the AB05 military specification connectors from AB Electronics that are fully approved to the stringent requirements of Defence Standard 59-35 (Part 1) section 3, Pattern 105.

Initially developed for aircraft applications, these miniature bayonet-coupled connectors are now used extensively in fighting vehicles, military communication and general industrial markets where high reliability, miniaturisation and cost-effectiveness are of prime importance.

The AB05 Series connectors are interchangeable with similar connectors made by British, European or American companies.

Aerco will hold a wide range of AB05 connectors in stock at its Horsham headquarters at extremely competitive prices.

The AB05 series bayonet coupling connectors are extremely rugged and provide a positive coupling that is indicated by an audible click and by visual alignment of the three bayonet pins with locating 'windows' in the coupling nut for safe installation in densely packed configurations.

Aluminium shells that are cadmium, or zinc cobalt plated with an olive drab chromate finish offer high resistance to corrosion.

Alternative finishes and colours can be supplied to special order.

Insulators are polychloroprene with an operating temperature range of -55 to +125C.

Contact arrangements from 2 to 61 ways feature 16AWG (13A) or 20AWG (7.5A) contacts.

Sealing against water ingress is achieved between mating connectors by a square-section gasket between shells, a peripheral seal on the insulators and grommet wire sealing at the rear of the connector.
