Aerco now supplies high pressure, inductive proximity sensors from Contrinex that set new standards in high pressure performance

The Contrinex P series can withstand a continuous pressure of 500 bar compared with standard products that are usually limited to around 350 bar Contrinex uses a technology that provides a sensing distance of some four times longer than other sensors of this type

This means that the critical front ceramic face of the sensor can be much thicker and stronger than with sensors that have a shorter sensing distance.

In addition, to provide the high quality seal that is vital for high pressure resistance Contrinex uses a special process that involves copper plating the stainless steel sensor housing that is heated before a ceramic face is fitted.

This assembly is then allowed to cool to create a very strong seal between the front face and the body that will withstand 500 bar continuously and peaks of up to 800 bar.

The P series is available in P12, P18 and P20 formats, in PNP and NPN types and in both plug and cable versions and are suitable for use in high pressure hydraulic systems, construction equipment, offshore installations and similar applications.
