Liquid level sensors for consumer and industrial

An Aerco product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 8, 2008

Both types use enhanced sensors with a phototransistor trigger that provides a digital output denoting the presence or absence of liquid.

Aerco now stocks the LLE and LLN liquid level sensors from Honeywell.

The LLE range is designed primarily for use in home appliances, vending machines and any equipment where the presence or absence of water needs to be known or controlled, while the LLN range has a stainless-steel housing, is sealed to IP67 and is designed to meet the requirements of harsh industrial environments where extreme pressure vibration and shock conditions are experienced.

They are ideal for industrial compressors, machine tools, processing and packaging equipment and heavy-duty automotive applications.

Both types use enhanced sensors with a phototransistor trigger that provides a digital output denoting the presence or absence of liquid and have a polysulphone sensor dome that makes them suitable for hygienic applications.

They offer solid state reliability with no moving parts, are TTL compatible, have a fast response and are reverse polarity and over-voltage protected.

The high pressure on the LLN version is rated up to 25bar.

Capable of operating over a wide temperature range, the Honeywell LLE and LLN liquid level sensors are available for both internal and external mounting, are CE certified and offer an extremely cost effective level sensing solution for a wide range of applications.
