New range of aluminium induction motors introduced
Available in frame sizes 63-180 and powers 0.12-30kW, the new AEG Electric Motors aluminium induction motor range has improved efficiencies and now complies with the CEMEP Eff 1 category
Motor power ratings are from 7 to 100kW and pole options are 12, four or two.
Further specification flexibility is provided with an option for inverted Dahlander connections (YY/D) on the four- and two-pole machines to give constant output (double torque at low speeds).
Also, special attention has been given to the bearings to maximise loading potential and working life.
They can be supplied for either S2 or S3 duty ratings with a 160% for 2min overload rating.
The S2 is for manually controlled functions and the S3 for automated duties, such as required to stabilise vessel positions during loading/offloading operations and tide changes that might demand the motor has cycle switching capabilities.
The S3 machines have high resistance silumin rotors to give smooth rotor torque.
The motors are IP56, nonventilated units and have oil-tight flanges (Radial and Gammaseal).
They have heaters, special paint to 220um thickness, condensation drain holes and all screws are stainless steel.
