A new 6-page technical data file details the DIP range of dust ignition proof motors from AEG Electric Motors.

A new 6-page technical data file detailing the company's range of dust ignition proof (DIP) motors has been published by AEG Electric Motors.

AEG's DIP range conforms to ATEX Directive 94/9/CE (ATEX 95) for use in Zones 21 and 22.

The standard two- and four-pole machines (six- and eight-pole units are available) offer power ratings from 0.75 to 200kW and 0.55 to 200kW, respectively.

Frame sizes are from 80 to 315.

In addition to motor data the leaflet also defines the dangerous zones according to risks as outlined in IEC79-10, a diagram to help understand Zone classification plus a table explaining ATEX Group II Categories 1 to 3 (dust and gas) and relevant zones.
