Distributor specialises in brake motors
AEG Electric Motors has appointed Fyfe Wilson and Co of Bishops Stortford as a specialist distributor for brake motors, with a special remit to focus on the woodworking and machine tool industries.
AEG Electric Motors has appointed Fyfe Wilson and Co of Bishops Stortford as a specialist distributor for brake motors, with a special remit to focus on the woodworking and machine tool industries Fyfe Wilson will handle all AEG's brake and standard motors but particular emphasis will be placed on the AMS/AMMES brake motors with DC coil low-torque braking that complies with the woodworking industry's PUWER 98 and ACoP safety standards

Debut at Drives and Controls
AEG Lafert Electric Motors will be exhibiting its range of induction motors for the first time at the Drives and Controls Show at the UK NEC.
The appointment is seen as a way of providing customers with a specialist source for these motors, backed by electrical and mechanical engineering resources for installation and repair.
The timing of the appointment is seen as important with the HSE deadline of November 2005 for many existing and second-hand woodworking machines to have braking systems fitted that will stop machine tools in less than 10 seconds.
"We will be stocking AEG's single- and three-phase brake motors fitted with DC coil low-torque braking in the most popular power and size ranges", says Tony Harman, Sales Engineer, Fyfe Wilson.
"This means we will be able to supply customers ex-stock with three-phase units in powers of 1.1 to 7.5kW in 80 to 132 frame sizes and single-phase ones from 1.5 to 2.2kW in 90 frame size".
AEG's full range of brake motors with DC coil gradual braking is available as both single- and three-phase machines.
Frame sizes are from 63-315 and power ratings from 0.11-200kW.
