DM 300 magnetostrictive level systems use field-proven sensing technology and incorporate intrinsic safety with a field programmable zero and span, ensuring no calibration and easy installation.

Able's new magnetostrictive technique was developed by world renowned level measurement specialist Ametek Drexelbrook to be unaffected by most of the variable media characteristics which cause problems for alternative technologies, including low dielectric, stratification, dielectric changes, vapors, foam and interface.

This makes the DM300 applicable for most industries and applications including petroleum, LPG, sulphuric acid plus the sanitary applications found in the pharmaceutical, biochemical, food and beverage industries.

All systems are characterised by electronics that are integrated within the sensing element, although separate electronics are available.

This totally eliminates the traditional electronic enclosure at the top of the sensor, ensuring lowest possible purchasing costs and offering greater options for insertion and mounting.

The DM300 is also two-wire loop powered with a configurable 4 -20mA span.

Accuracy and resolution over the 4-20mA span are 0.1 and 0.025%, respectively, making it an ideal solution for tank inventory control of high value products.

Units are available in both rigid and flexible configurations allowing measurement from 500mm to 15m.

A variety of floats and mounting accessories exist to fit virtually any application including a sanitary stainless steel version.
