Linear motors easier than ever to choose
and use

Aerotech has launched a new packaged linear motor range designed so that all that the user has to do is configure a motor package in much the same way as they would to integrate a mechanical screw

Aerotech has launched a new packaged linear motor range that can be used as a direct replacement for mechanical linear motion systems Linear motors have achieved a remarkable penetration into engineering applications previously dominated by ball and roller screws

Recognising that many users of screw technology perceive linear motors to be complicated by comparison, Aerotech has packaged its range of U-channel brushless linear motors in easy "ready to use" configurations.

In essence, all that the user has to do is configure a motor package in much the same way as they would to integrate a mechanical screw.

The fact that the motors are both small and flat means they are ideal where space is constrained.

Each packaged system consists of a linear motor, bearing, encoder and cable management system.

The smallest motor is an extremely compact unit for its output, measuring just 52mm x 20.8mm in cross section.

As with all linear motors, the packages are virtually maintenance free, with no moving parts in contact with each other.

The motors offer a high output, with a continuous force range of 32N -1186N, with 130N - 4744N peak, and a high acceleration rate.

There is zero cogging and no backlash or wind up, with a range of sizes available to suit user requirements.

Each package is completed with a high quality linear bearing, fitted together with a Renishaw linear encoder and Aerotech's proprietary cable management system.

The packaged linear motors can be driven using standard Aerotech brushless amplifiers and controllers to provide a completely integrated system. Request a free brochure from Aerotech ...
