Robopac will be showing the very latest developments across its whole range at Interpack 2002, including the latest family of rotary turntable pallet stretch wrappers.

Robopac will be showing the very latest developments across its whole range at Interpack 2002, including the latest family of rotary turntable pallet stretch wrappers.

Also featured will be an all-new range of L Bar sealers from the entry level Micra to the very interesting fully automatic Athena Combi capable of producing 35 packs a minute.

This range has just been introduced into the UK with some very promising results.

In addition, there will be the very latest case closing machines and an example of the Spiror horizontal wrapper, which continues to be very popular for wrapping lengthy products, bundles and even office furniture.

The top of the range Robopac Sistemi Genesis complete with top sheeter will highlight the automatic pallet stretchwrappers but entirely new will be the Roboband which has been specifically developed to band pallet loads of crates or other unstable loads which do not require full stretch wrapping.

The first systems have gone into operation in Germany and have proven to be very successful.

Aetna believes there are many applications in the UK where these banders will be very useful and highly economical.

In addition, the latest version of the Robtoplat 2000A will demonstrate the economical use of industrial turntable models for those moving on from semi auto turntables.

This model has been popular throughout the world for many years and this latest version is even more effective.

The third Aetna Group company, Dimac, has made great strides over the past year with the further redevelopment of its single roll shrink wrapping systems.

Detailed research was carried out across Europe amongst packaging engineers to find out exactly what was required from the large choice of these systems now available.

Having listened well, the new Star system was introduced into the market at the end of last year and is proving to be just as good as hoped.

The range is full of very practical features, is all-electronic in function, uses no change parts and doesn't have that infuriating "black box".

With models available for wrapping speeds from 30 to 60/min and all very competitively priced, Aetna is confident about prospects for the year ahead.

The model on show will be the Star 60F with continuous infeed.

And from the fourth group manufacturing plant, Weitek, there is on show a range of weighing and bagging systems to really catch the eye.

Weitek, who joined the group some three years ago, has worked hard to bring its wide product range up to the standards required by international markets.

The results can now be clearly seen with major installations in the past twelve months in the UK, China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Brazil and Russia.

Bagging will be represented by the automatic tubular bag filling systems, WFM 1200, suitable for dusty products and WFG 500 suitable for granular, free flowing products.

There will also be seven different weighing systems on show to illustrate the variety of technology now available from Weitek.

A growing percentage of Weitek weighers are being supplied to OEMs for inclusion in other packaging systems.
