High-solids lubricant forges successful future

An Acheson Colloids product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 24, 2006

Forging die lubricant is formulated to provide forging operations with production efficiencies at reduced lubricant costs.

Deltaforge F-78 is a novel forging die lubricant formulated to provide forging operations with production efficiencies at reduced lubricant costs.

Deltaforge F-78 is a high-solids product containing high purity synthetic graphite for optimal lubricating performance and outstanding forging results.

Higher dilution ratios and rapid film formation result in lower consumption and lower costs per forged part.

Its fine particle-size graphite provides excellent lubrication and part-release properties with no nozzle plugging.

Tests with Deltaforge F-78 show that it consistently performs at higher dilution ratios than other products.

For best results, Deltaforge F-78 should be properly diluted and spray applied.

Acheson also provides automatic dilution control units, its Dag 183 BMS batch mixing system, Dag 2020L linear reciprocator and Dag 2020R robotic spray systems.

These units assure that forgers gain the most benefit from an optimised die lubricant.
