The u-Max is a micro sized, FireWire connected distributed motion controller with embedded servo amplifier, all within the footprint of a business card.

The u-Max is a micro sized, FireWire connected distributed motion controller with embedded servo amplifier, all within the footprint of a business card.

The u-Max is easily mounted into an automated machine to significantly reduce wiring and compress the overall size of the equipment.

Combining all of these features within a 3 x 3 x 1in package makes the u-Max an ideal choice for a machine builder to gain a competitive advantage where both cost and performance is required.

Key features of the single-axis u-Max include: the ability to drive up to 500W brushless motors with a 20kHz current loop; integrated servo amplifier and motion control; position loops at 4kHz; numerous motion control features such as multiple filters and high speed position capture; a user configurable event/response mechanism; sinusoidal commutation; S-curve trajectory profiles; and PTP, PV, PVT pulse and direction modes of operation.

The u-Max is programmable using Agile's DPWin proprietary software that allows users to perform drive setup, configuration, tuning, analysis and drive programming quickly and easily.
