Advance-Galatrek's new StrikeSafe DIN-rail compatible Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS) are designed to clip directly onto the universal DIN-rail mount format tracking used within many control and distribution cabinets.

Providing compact yet robust protection, the new units are ideal for protecting either single or three phase mains supplies from the detrimental effects of harmful voltage surges.

Offering a valuable advantage over competitor systems, these new DIN-rail compatible units enable the easy installation of Advance-Galatrek's latest StrikeSafe TVSS modules wherever the presence of a sensitive load dictates the need for transient surge suppression.

However, for applications where DIN-rail mount tracking is not available, Advance-Galatrek can also supply individual wall-mounted units to house its TVSS modules, in either single or three-phase configuration.

Every model in Advance-Galatrek's StrikeSafe TVSS range uses the latest patent pending matrix technology.

This breakthrough provides superior levels of transient protection to competitor TVSS devices.

It also enables the TVSS to continue functioning in accordance with its specification, even if a voltage surge damages an individual component.

Each TVSS module features LEDs that warn of a fault condition within the unit, and which provide a quick visual inspection of potential problems.

StrikeSafe is available either as a MOV (metal oxide varistor) based device, or as a combination of MOVs and SADs (silicon avalanche diodes).

The MOV only format provides a price conscious solution to the problems caused by surges in the voltage supply.

Ideal for less sensitive loads, the StrikeSafe MOV based TVSS incorporates Advance-Galatrek's unique matrix technology, guaranteeing better transient protection than competitor units.

For the ultimate in transient voltage surge protection, the StrikeSafe range also offers a combination of SAD and MOV technology.

Also offering matrix technology, the SAD and MOV combination provides a virtually instantaneous response to the sharp rising edge of a transient infected voltage waveform, and is ideal for more sensitive applications, where voltage surges are more likely to cause irreparable equipment damage.

Because the SAD modules become effective at a threshold up to 20% lower than traditional MOV only devices, they provide a better dissipation of excess transient energy.

This allows the secondary protection MOV matrix to activate at a level at which the SADs cannot safely operate.

This protects the SADs from over-current, as well as increasing the overall TVSS surge rating.
