Adept to demonstrate part feeder at Motek

An Adept Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 22, 2009

Adept Technology will be demonstrating flexible part feeding with its Adept Anyfeeder BX400 flexible part feeder at the Motek trade show in Stuttgart, Germany, on 21-24 September, 2009.

The company will also be showcasing its packaging-management software solution, Ace Packxpert, and the Adept Quattro s650H robot with vision.

The company's demonstrations will highlight technology enabling manufacturers to ramp up production with solutions that are cost effective to implement, deploy, and support.

Rush LaSelle, director of global sales and marketing for Adept Technology, said: 'Automated solutions must be capable of addressing the dynamics taking place in the supply chain where frequent change has become the norm.

He added: 'The Anyfeeder BX400 flexible part feeder offers companies the ability to manage multiple parts or small batch sizes where previous equipment was unable to meet return on investment hurdles.' The Anyfeeder BX400 has a large 250l bulk feeder with integrated level inspection.

The 400mm (W) conveyor and elevating conveyor belt are driven by two brushless servo and AC-drives.

The Anyfeeder is designed to work with a full complement of Adept robots, and in combination with an Adept Quattro s650H, 120ppm are achievable.

The Motek exhibitor forum, which will feature a presentation on 'Using Modern Robot Systems with Vision', will be presented by Olaf Trimpop-Dietz, regional sales manager at Adept Technology, on 21 September at 11am.
