Actiris is a new range of high-performance and user-friendly 3D co-ordinate measurement machines (CMMs) based on innovative optical technology.

Actiris is a new range of high-performance and user-friendly 3D co-ordinate measurement machines (CMMs) based on innovative optical technology Actiris is a totally portable and truly ergonomic solution providing the user with complete freedom of movement, as there are neither wires nor mechanical links between the super-light handy probe and the measurement device

This new technology has already gained widespread recognition in the manufacturing sector, and ActiCM is looking for local distributors.

ActiCM will be present at the Control 2004 trade show in Germany.

Actiris relies on a combination of advanced photogrammetry (the use of photography for surveying purposes) and powerful digital image processing.

This unique combination provides a high level of accuracy in the results obtained, while increasing the reliability and rapidity of controls performed on parts, organs or complex assemblies, both on and off the production line.

Also, Actiris offers the user complete freedom of movement and allows for both automatic and manual alignment setup.

Additional features such as easy installation and automatic calibration complete the exceptional performance levels of this 3D measurement device.

Actiris is designed on an entirely open platform.

It is supplied as standard with the PowerInspect software package, but it can also be interfaced with most industrial measurement software packages, which is an added advantage.

Actiris can have a wide range of applications across the whole manufacturing spectrum, including metallurgy and metal processing, machine tool production, automotive and the transport equipment production sector.
