Axium Process adds perforated sheet strainer to its range of hygienic stainless steel filters.

Axium Process has added a perforated sheet strainer to its range of hygienic stainless steel filters.

The Econ-Screen filter range has a standard 7.6cm housing and is manufactured with an out-to-in flow, 316L stainless steel perforated screen.

With operating pressures of up to 10bar, it is designed as a low pressure drop last-chance filter before a pump or in-line instrument as well as a strainer for coarse particle filtration.

The range is made in 316L stainless steel contact parts, has standard inlet and outlet sizes of 2.5, 3.8 and 5.1cm and is available as either a 90deg or an in-line option.

The filter is fully welded and does not use expanded fittings.

All welds are ground flush and polished internally and externally to 0.8um Ra.

It is designed for full drainability, employs no O rings and has a metal-to-metal seal design to ensure that the filter element can be removed easily and without sticking.

The interchangeable filter elements are available in 1000, 2000 and 3000um sizes as standard.

End connections can be fabricated to suit customer specification and include plain-ended, clamp, Din, IDF, SMS, RJT and BSP options.
