Sintered mesh filter screen added to range

An Axium Process product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 19, 2009

Axium Process has introduced a 316L stainless-steel sintered mesh filter screen to complement its range of wedge-wire and perforated-sheet filters.

The Fine-Screen sintered-mesh option is suited for fine particulate applications requiring filtration levels less than 75 micron in the water, pharmaceutical, food, beverage and chemical industries.

Manufactured in 316L stainless steel with material certification to BS EN 10204 3.1, Axium's Fine-Screen filter range offers high strength and rigidity and is suitable for both clean-in-place and steam-in-place operations.

The filters, which are available as 90, straight-through or inline, are manufactured with either 4in or 6in filter housings and with a housing internal surface finish of 0.4um Ra as standard.

Inlet and outlet connections are available to customer specification and include clamp, RJT, DIN, IDF, SMS and plain-ended options.

The screens, which are constructed from layers of stainless-steel mesh fusion-bonded, are interchangeable and range from 75 micron down to 5 micron.
