Level sensor handles any water-based fluid

An Active Switch and Sensor product story

Standex Electronics has developed a fluid level sensor to detect the presence of any water-based liquid.

Standex Electronics has developed a fluid level sensor to detect the presence of any water-based liquid.

The sensor has a novel design, which eliminates most of the problems caused by the build up of material on the conductive probes.

This build up would normally cause the sensor's output to change and the system to fail.

The patented approach, using a bias ring, improves the stability and extends the operating life, while maintaining a competitively priced product.

The LS300 can be supplied for DC, pulsed DC and AC operation modes by customising the inbuilt electronics.

Output is open collector pull to ground, 30V DC maximum, with 10-24V DC, 20mA input.

The LS300 sensor will operate from -40 to +125C, and is available now from Active Switch and Sensor.
