The new UPL200 ultrasonic proximity switch is designed for close range detection up to 200mm.

Ultrasonic sensors are used in industry and process automation for measurement of distance, level and proximity, are maintenance free and have a long service life, even in permanent operation.

They are best suited for detection of objects with very different surfaces and materials, as well as under environmental conditions such are dust, fog, dirt or bright lights.

The new UPL200 ultrasonic proximity switch is designed for close range detection up to 200mm.

It has a fixed switching distance and no setting elements, which makes it most suited for lateral approximation of objects, eg on conveyers.

Due to its high power Sonarange transmitter and the M30 surface the new UPL type can detect most objects in the whole range from 0 to 200mm.

This feature plus its low cost makes the UPL200 a real alternative to conventional inductive, capacitive or optical proximity switches.
