The RBS310400 opto tipover switch has been modified to offer a more accurate switching operation.

The RBS310400 opto tipover switch has been modified to offer a more accurate switching operation.

The switch uses a silicon phototransistor and infra-red emitting diode internal design to give a signal when the tipover switch is tipped from the vertical position in any direction.

This design has many advantages over ball contacts, which can suffer from variable contact resistance and contact bounce.

The 310400 switch has an expected life of many millions of operations and its compact size of 10 x 10mm makes it easy to fit onto a PCB.

In addition to the tipover switch the RBS310500 range of tilt switches offers a wide range of switching angles and on/off, on/off/on contact styles.
