The PD31 range of opto fluid level sensors has been extended to eight models, all designed to detect low-viscosity fluids such as water and certain solvents.

Each sensor uses light refraction via an internal infra-red transmitter and special optical lens arrangement to detect the presence of liquids.

The sensor can be used to send a signal to a controller or operate an alarm for control and process systems.

Output can be selected with the model number and offers switched NPN or PNP.

Supply voltage is 12-36V DC and termination is via 2m of three-core cable.

The sensor is manufactured from solid plastic with a 0.375 or 0.5in PF thread and has a HEX28 by 86mm-long body.
