Proximity switch squeezes into 5mm hole

Active Switch and Sensor has released a new range of threaded metal and plastic reed proximity switches.

Active Switch and Sensor has released a new range of threaded metal and plastic reed proximity switches.

One of the smaller switches, the RM515 is designed to be fitted into a small hole.

The 5mm diameter brass/nickel plated housing can be clamped or pressed into a 5mm clearance hole, and the switch easily connected with the 300mm PVC covered cable.

The normally open contact is rated at 100V AC, 0.25A, 3VA.

A button magnet can also be supplied which will give an operating distance of about 18mm.

This switch is useful for a wide range of position sensing applications, especially for control and process applications.
