Valves automate sand filtration system
Pinch valves answer modulating valve requirements in industrial wastewater/sludge plants.
A large steel producer was seeking reliable valves to automate a sand filtration system processing wastewater generated at the plant The control valves had to suit a range of solids-, chemicals- and mineral-laden water and offer low operating and maintenance costs
The tight space available in the plant also made access difficult to the valves for maintenance.
RF Tek pinch valves fitted with digital controllers were installed, and since than have provided reliable operation.
The pinch valves do not need to be removed from the line to change the elastomer tube, and they greatly reduced system downtime and maintenance costs when compared with other valves evaluated for this service.
