3dvia Composer allows users to create interactive product documentation, animation, technical illustrations and simulations
Applied PLM Solutions has become the first Dassault Systemes Value Added Reseller to provide 3dvia technology in the UK.
The 3dvia brand forms a core element of the new Dassault Systemes V6 PLM 2.0 technology platform.
Applied MD Shaun Clark said, "The future of industrial 3D lies in the role-out of PLM 2.0 which is Dassault Systemes' way of allowing anyone to interact in 3D over the web in a completely collaborative way".
"V6 will be a destination for those collaborating in 3D and 3dvia is the means of reaching it".
He continued "3dvia Composer is a new offering that allows users to create interactive product documentation, animation, technical illustrations and simulations as well as playing a significant role in bringing 3D data to a broader user base through its free viewer".
3dvia Composer comprises a set of XML-based tools that enhance Dassault Systemes' PLM offering by allowing complex product procedures and evolving 3D models to be effectively communicated using a minimum of text.
The software also updates directly from 3dvia Composer simulations, enabling concurrent collaborative working practices.
