Gatcha champions advanced engineering
A new Advanced Engineering Champion has been appointed within the Wolverhampton Telford Technology Corridor to drive forward the next phase of development of the Advanced Engineering Cluster.
A new Advanced Engineering Champion has been appointed within the Wolverhampton Telford Technology Corridor (WTTC) to drive forward the next phase of development of the Advanced Engineering (AE) Cluster Jit Gatcha joins the Cluster team from the University of Wolverhampton's Innovative Product Development Centre in Telford, where he has worked for the past four years as Senior Marketing Associate focused on helping companies with their business development

The Advanced Engineering Cluster along with the Polymer Cluster is one of the key projects within the WTTC; each co-ordinates a team of experts dedicated to helping companies adopt new technologies, increase their competitiveness and help new business startups.
An overall package of over GBP 8 million worth of funding has recently been secured from the European Regional Development Fund to enable the cluster projects to continue to offer the business support activities.
"An essential part of our success comes from working with companies that want to innovate by fully understanding their goals and helping them to develop their strategies", says Gatcha.
"Getting new products to market faster and better meeting customer needs is vital - and we can offer access to all the necessary expertise and resources to help companies achieve this".
"My aim is to develop long-term relationships with our clients so that the AE cluster team are considered an extension of their own management team".
Welcoming Gatcha to the Cluster teams, Mike Norris, Director of the Wolverhampton Telford Technology Corridor said: "Jit has worked alongside the Advanced Engineering and Polymer Cluster for a number of years in his role within the Innovative Product Development Centre so is ideally placed to improve the capacity of businesses in the region to innovate, introduce new technologies and collaborate".
"Jit will play an important role in not only continuing the high standards of delivery already set but also moving the AE Cluster towards a sustainable future".
