Alpine Components will feature the ATEX approved Ultraprobe 2000 on Stand D27 at Maintec 2005.

The Ultraprobe 2000 is used throughout the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and power industries to find leaks (both pressure and vacuum), check valves and steam traps, monitor bearings and detect high voltage electrical arcing.

It is featured as part of the "no leaks" strategy implemented by the UK Offshore Oil Association.

The Ultraprobe 2000 is intrinsically safe to Factory Mutual and now has ATEX approval to II 1 G EEx ib IIC T3.

It can be safely operated in the group IIC which is the most dangerous explosion group (this includes hydrogen).

The 2000 is one in a range of Ultraprobes including analogue and digital models.

The latter can store, down/upload readings, and produce graphs and reports.
