Algor's latest finite element analysis software release, version 19, has expanded support for 64bit Microsoft Windows and 32 and 64bit Red Hat Linux operating systems for all analysis types.

Algor's latest finite element analysis software release, version 19, has expanded support for 64bit Microsoft Windows and 32 and 64bit Red Hat Linux operating systems for all analysis types The version also has boundary layer meshing for simulating flow around a fluid boundary and results evaluation capabilities including export to the Hoops Stream Fileformat for sharing visualisation data with other engineering applications

The software is for simulating engineering analyses of product designs.

Product Manager Bob Williams said: "It lets users apply the power and speed of 64bit Windows and 32 and 64bit Red Hat Linux to all Algor analysis types including static stress and mechanical event simulation with linear and nonlinear material models, linear dynamics, steady-state and transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow, electrostatics and full multiphysics".

"Our next release will support 64bit Unix workstations and future releases will support distributed processing".
