Funding for free management training courses

An Alliance Learning product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 3, 2009

Alliance Learning has received funding for its team-leading courses, which provide free management training courses to the value of GBP725 (subject to a GBP50 administration fee) for local businesses.

The company, which is based in Bolton, UK, hopes to ensure that diverse workplace challenges and issues can be dealt with in the most productive way.

Alliance Learning's team-leading course has been introduced for those who require a broad-base knowledge of management techniques at ILM Level 2, with an option to progress onto the ILM Level 3 Qualification.

The aim of the course is to give practising or potential team and cell leaders the foundation for their formal development of their role, assisting participants in gaining the knowledge required to be a modern and progressive team leader.

According to Kelly Knowles, a training coordinator at local company Gresham, eight staff members completed the team-leader course between January and April this year.

She said: 'Our management structure now flows with ease and precise organisation and the staff have noted a significant change in the way in which information is communicated.' The free course is run one day per week over 13 weeks and Alliance Learning is offering the opportunity on a first-come-first-served basis; the initial courses began on 4 August.
