Alliance Learning has announced that it is moving its Learndirect courses to the Leigh centre to better facilitate the number of learners wishing to take a course.
In addition to the move, the centre will also be introducing various new Learndirect courses.
The new Fire Awareness course is aimed at all fire safety professionals within the industry and is available on demand.
Lasting approximately two hours, the course will address the potential risks in the workplace and actions for dealing with the different fire risks.
The second new Learndirect course to be introduced at the Leigh site is the Fire Warden course.
Aimed at appointed personnel, the course covers all aspects of evacuation procedures, use of extinguishers and special regulations.
The practical aspects of the Learndirect courses will remain at the Bolton-based Horwich site.
