Alrad Instruments has announced that it can offer high-power LED arrays and projectors suitable for applications such as robots, packaging, web inspection, palletising and more.

The LED arrays are ideal for inspecting small to very large areas with high-intensity light.

They are suitable for use with robots or lighting from long distances.

The arrays are offered with three, six or 12 LEDs and users can choose from white, blue, green or red LEDs.

Adjustable intensity control is available on all units.

The LED projectors are ideal for inspecting large areas with high-intensity light.

The system can be used in direct, darkfield or low-angle vision applications.

The projector consists of four high-power LEDs and can be offered with white, blue, green or red LEDs.

The unit has adjustable intensity control and three viewing angles can be used: 10, 30 or 45deg.

Both the LED arrays and projectors are suitable for applications such as robots, packaging, web inspection, palletising, label inspection, data matrix reading and pick-and-place.

The units are compact, robust and have uniform output.

Polarisers and diffuse filters can be fitted if required.

The high-power LED products enhance the contrast of the objects under illumination and emphasise all textures, reliefs and fissures.

With these lights, any defect present in the object produces a defined shadow.
