Alrad Imaging has announced the introduction of the Artray 640 (VGA) - a thermal imaging camera (8-14 microns) with a USB2.0 interface.

The camera will be offered with an optional GigE Vision output in the near future.

The camera operates at 25 frames per second with a 14-bit output.

It has an in-built Peltier cooler allowing a dynamic range from -40C to 540C.

A lower-resolution 320 (QVGA) model is also available, as well as a choice of Germanium lenses.
