The new compact PVP192 Bipolar Stepper Motor Drive, manufactured by Alzanti, measures in at only 89 x 76 x 38mm yet can deliver continuous currents of up to 2 Amps per phase.

PWM current regulation provides very efficient use of input power whilst enabling excellent performance to be achieved from a wide range of hybrid and permanent magnet stepper motors with 4, 6 or 8 leads, and at supply voltages from 12 to 36Vdc.

All control signal inputs have uncommitted opto isolators which means that sinking (NPN) or sourcing (PNP) drivers can be used, thereby making interface possible to a wide range of PLC's and other control equipment.

Other features include: Full/half step mode selection; fully adjustable output current by on-board potentiometer; output stage disable function; standby current selection and thermal overload protection.

To complete the drive package Alzanti also provide a range of 'high torque' rare earth magnet Stepper Motors, conventional magnet Stepper Motors, Intelligent Motion Controllers, Power Supplies and other motion control accessories.
